SPENCER MCLING
Spencer Taylor-Leland McLing is the Co-Owner and CEO of WeProtectYouNow, LLC.
He graduated from the Moore/Norman Technology Center, Peace Officer Certification Academy as one of its top cadets, fostering a deep sense of purpose and camaraderie. Spencer currently serves as a Police Corporal in a local municipality and was an active member of the Edmond Police Explorers during high school, where his passion for law enforcement and security began.
Spencer obtained his CLEET Phase 1&2, CLEET Phase 4 Service Weapon, and Shotgun certifications from Security Officer Requalification (SOR) before becoming a police officer. In addition he has received extensive certifications and training in SWAT and serves on his Tactical Team. He has extensive experience providing protective and security services to notable organizations such as Amazon and a national local bank, where he excelled as an executive security specialist and security shift/detail leader.
In 2019, Spencer co-founded WeProtectYouNow, LLC alongside his father, Leland McLing.
LELAND MCLING
Leland Ray McLing, Jr. is the co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of WeProtectYouNow, LLC, working under the leadership of his son, the CEO.
With his service in the United States Coast Guard a background as a seasoned police officer, Leland brings invaluable operational expertise to the company.
Leland holds a Police Science Degree from Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma City, and is a graduate of the Robert Lester Training Center Basic Police Officer Academy and many other certifications and training in law enforcement.
He is certified as a School Resource Officer through NASRO and has a CLEET Basic Instructor Certification. Throughout his career, Leland has handled diverse roles including traffic, patrol, narcotics, courtroom, school, assistant to the chief of police and security details, including for a former president's wife.
Since 1993, Leland has also served as an NRA Law Enforcement Firearm Instructor throughout the state. Currently, he continues his service in public law enforcement for a small town near the metro area, collaborating closely with Spencer and WeProtectYouNow, LLC.
